Wendy is captivated by the intricate ways that hormone fluctuations influence health, and she recognised an urgent need for more options beyond conventional medicine for those grappling with hormonal imbalances. Over the years, she has observed an increasing desire among individuals for solutions that go beyond symptom suppression, focusing instead on true healing and wellness.
As a vocal advocate for women's health, Wendy champions the importance of female-centred healthcare and research, often addressing the biases that still exist in male-centredd medical approaches. In her own late-stage perimenopause, Wendy has firsthand experience with many of the challenges that hormonal shifts bring, such as hot flashes, sleep disruptions, and mental and physical fluctuations.
Wendy's path to natural medicine was inspired by her personal journey. Transitioning from a corporate background, her career change was driven by a need to address her health after experiencing post-natal depression following the birth of her first child. Embracing exercise and a nutritious diet transformed her life, including a 40-kg weight loss and a profound shift in her outlook. This journey led Wendy to study nutrition, and later naturopathy, after meeting influential naturopaths in college. Her love of movement also inspired her to obtain qualifications as a personal trainer, and she recently completed further studies to upgrade her naturopathic credentials.
When she’s not researching, consulting, or spending time with family, Wendy can be found at the gym, often sporting a collection of bright, bold leggings—a favorite wardrobe staple. With the unwavering support of her family, including her husband and two boys, she successfully balances the demands of work and family life.
Wendy's expertise spans a range of women’s hormonal health issues, including: preconception & pregnancy, period issues, PCOS, endometriosis, menopause & perimenopause, IVF support, nutrition for hormonal health, recurring vaginal infections.
